Official: Inter Reach An Agreement To Part Ways With Eriksen

Inter Milan and its Denmark midfielder Christian Ericksen have reached a mutual agreement part ways from each other after series of meetings with the player’s representatives.

The 29 year-old collapsed during his country’s opening game of the Euro 2020 tournament against Finland on June 12 in Copenhagen, and received life-saving treatment on the pitch.
Although Ericksen is gradually getting back and he’s been seen training but with Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) device implanted in his heart a type of support system which can prevent fatal cardiac arrests by discharging a jolt to restore a regular heart rhythm.

“FC Internazionale Milano can confirm that an agreement has been reached to terminate Christian Eriksen’s contract by mutual consent. The club and the entire Nerazzurri family wish Christian all the very best for his future.
“Although Inter and Christian are now parting ways, the bond shall never be broken. The good times, the goals, the victories, those Scudetto celebrations with fans outside San Siro – all this will remain forever in Nerazzurri history.” The statement reads.
Eriksen joined Inter from Tottenham Hotspur in January 2020 and has scored eight goals in 60 games for the club, playing a key role in their first Serie A triumph in 11 years last season.

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has revealed the club would not let go of the opportunity to bring Romelu Lukaku back to the San Siro on loan.

Lukaku after two good years with the Nerrazurri scoring 47 goals in his 72 league appearances moved to Chelsea for an unrejectable offer of €115m.
While Inter appear to have moved on faster, Lukaku looks like a fish out of the river in Chelsea with 5 goals in 16 appearances in all competitions.
Ausilio, when asked in an interview on Sky Sports if Inter would take him back, the sporting director responded- “Yes, on loan.”
