OFFICIAL: Juventus sign McKennie

Juventus have officially announced the signing of Schalke 04 midfielder, Weston McKennie.

The 22-year old United States international has been a Schalke 04 player since joining the Bundesliga club’s youth academy in 2016 before making the step up to the senior team a year later.

Juventus confirms through a statement on its official website that the midfielder has arrived on an initial loan deal that will cost the club 4.5 million Euros.

The club also confirms that they will be obligated to make the move permanent should McKenzie achieve “certain give sporting objectives by the end of the 2020/21 season.”

The cost of making the deal permanent will be 18.5 million Euros, payable in three years while the German club will be entitled to a maximum of 7 million Euros in add-ons if certain terms are met.
