During his time at Arsenal, he made 132 appearances and won 4 trophies: 2 FA Cups and 2 Community Shields.

Reacting to his signature: “I am very happy to sign here. If someone had told me at the age of 6 that I would one day be at Olympique Lyonnais, I could never have imagined it! I absolutely had to seize this opportunity. My favorite position? Midfield. I hope to establish myself in this position, but I am ready to work anywhere to help the team.”

Meanwhile…

With reports from across the Channel indicating that Lucas Paquetá could be leaving West Ham for Manchester City, a move for the Brazilian could see a welcome windfall for the Brazilian’s former club Lyon.

Les Gones are in a difficult position this summer, given that their transfer business and wage bill are being monitored by the DNCG – French football’s financial watchdog who took issue with the budget for the upcoming season presented by new American owner John Textor.

Lyon had sold Paquetá to the Hammers for €61.63m including bonuses, and a 10% cut of the profit of a future transfer (and 15% of that going to the Brazilian’s club before that, Milan).
