Real Madrid have a lot to fix in their defense line and with the loss of veteran right back, Dani Carvajal, this has compounded their woes coupled with long term absence of David Alaba. Los Blancos are not just looking for quick fixes, but for a permanent solution with Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold seen as potential summer signing as his contract talks with the EPL outfit stalls.
More Details
It has not been a great run for Real Madrid this season both in La Liga and in the UCL despite the arrival of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick, with their abysmal performance in the El- Classico raising eyebrows.
The Spanish giant are poised to make crucial transfers in key areas where they are lacking and are set to initiate negotiations with Liverpool defender Arnold in January. The reigning La Liga champions are confident they can persuade the English international to reject a contract extension at Anfield, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.

As already established over the years, contractual rules prevent Real Madrid from initiating negotiations with Trent Alexander-Arnold or his camp until January, when he enters the final six months of his Liverpool contract although it has been revealed that Liverpool have already presented a contract offer to the 26-year-old.

Liverpool are now on alert but they still have the opportunity to convince their deputy captain to extend his stay, free from the pressure of a potential Madrid move. At this stage, Alexander-Arnold’s intentions remain unclear, as Liverpool continue to lead the Premier League.
According to reports from Diario AS, Real Madrid are exploring other options, including Spanish international Pedro Porro who currently plays for Tottenham, should they fail to secure Alexander-Arnold’s signature. However, the Liverpool right-back remains their top target.
