More Details

The Owls are the most recent team attempting to wrest McGuire from Inter&Co Stadium, following reports of interest from Anderlecht, R.W.D. Molenbeek, Blackburn Rovers, and Stoke City. Bogert’s tweet reads, “Orlando view the offer not close to their valuation.”

It’s unclear if Sheffield Wednesday will make a better offer for Duncan McGuire when they return. If so, they’ll need to move quickly because this Thursday at 11 p.m. (GMT) is the deadline for the UK transfer window.

Currently five points outside of safety in the EFL Championship relegation zone, Danny Röhl’s team is ranked twenty-third. The Hillsborough team currently has six centre forwards in their lineup.

Bailey-Tye Cadamarteri, Ashley Fletcher, Lee Gregory, Michael Smith, Callum Paterson, and Iké Ugbo are these strikers. Regarding Orlando City SC, English teams have always been interested in City strikers.

Daryl Dike was recruited by Barnsley in February 2021 after being loaned out by the Lions. In January 2022, the USMNT forward made a permanent move to West Bromwich Albion. Duncan McGuire has joined Cyle Larin, Daryl Dike, and other youthful goal scorers as players that City has developed a solid reputation for producing.
