Paris 2024 Qualifiers: China Beat Thailand To Set Up Dramatic Finale Against South Korea

Chinese women’s national team secured their first win of the Asian qualification series of the Paris 2024 Olympics with a 3-0 win over Thailand on Sunday.

Jin Jin Yan broke the deadlock for China in the 15th minute before Chem Qiaozhu doubled the lead in the second half.
Wurigumula made it 3-0 for the Chinese in the 80th minute.
The final Group game between China and South Korea will determine the team that will make it to the final qualifying stage.
Elsewhere, Vietnam beat India 3-1 thanks to goals from Nhu Huynh, Hai Linh Tran Thi, and Hai Yen Pham.
Sundhiya Ranganathan pulled a goal back for Thomas Dennerby’s side in the 80th minute after going down by three goals.

Overall, Australia advanced to the Final Qualifying Round demolishing the Phillippines 8-0, for the second time in three games Philippines conceded eight leaving the Philippines a lot to do against a very well-organised Iran to have any chance of advancing.

China set up a dramatic finale against South Korea with a 3-0 win over Thailand.
North Korea will be most happy with the goalless draw with South Korea. A final-day win against Thailand will see them advance.
South Korea faces China with a win enough for them to advance. China needs to win and hope the goal difference is best at the end of the round. A draw could eliminate each other.
Japan is on the verge of advancing after a 2-0 win over Uzbekistan and face Vietnam in the final game. Uzbekistan fought well after conceding two early goals to remain in contention as they play India on November 1 needing a victory and possibly a few goals depending on the China game.
