Pericles Chamusca is now officially the coach with the most victories in the Saudi Pro League.

The 59 year old tactician led Al Taawoun to a 4-1 victory over Al Ettifaq on Thursday for his 83rd victory in the SPL.
With that win, he surpasses Tunisian manager Fathi Al Jabal who had jointly held the record with 82 victories.
Clubs like Al Hilal, Al Faisaly, and Al Shabab have seen the Brazilian lead them in the Saudi Pro League.
After helping NEOM SC to promotion at the end of last season, he returned to Al Taawoun for his second stint where he has now achieved an unprecedented record.

Chamusca first entered the Saudi Pro League in the 2016/2017 season when he signed for Al Shabab.
Less than a decade later, he now holds the record for the most victories in the top division of football in Saudi Arabia.
His Al Taawoun side have started the season well, winning two of their three opening games.
