Philadelphia Union, Seattle Sounders Rescheduled MLS Game Gets New Date As Marcelo Weigandt Joins Inter Miami On Loan

Due to bad weather on March 9, the Philadelphia Union vs. Seattle Sounders FC match from Matchday 4 will now take place at Subaru Park on Tuesday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The interconference match was suspended in the sixth minute of play due to a sodden ground. At that point, there was no score.
In accordance with league regulations, play will resume with the same players on the pitch and available substitutes from the first postponement.
Philadelphia Union’s scheduled Saturday night matchup against Seattle Sounders FC on Matchday 4 has been rescheduled for a later time.
A soggy pitch caused by the heavy downpour in the sixth minute of the cross-conference game at Subaru Park was called off. At 0-0, there was no way to win.

Marcelo Weigandt, a right back has joined Inter Miami on loan from the renowned Argentine club Boca Juniors, the team announced on Thursday. With the option to extend until 2025, the 24-year-old defender’s loan is set to run until 2024.
Weigandt fills a void in head coach Tata Martino’s squad and helps offset Inter Miami’s trade of DeAndre Yedlin to FC Cincinnati earlier this month.
“We’re pleased to bring defender Marcelo Weigandt on loan from Boca Juniors. He is a skillful young defender who is fit and ready to contribute,” chief soccer officer and sporting director Chris Henderson said in a release.
