Pogon Szczecin are the new champions of the Polish Ekstraliga after a resounding 6-0 thrashing of Rekord Bielsko Biala in the final Matchday of the 2023/2024 season on Sunday.

A hat-trick from Weronika Seymaszek lifted Bogon to the title despite having the same points as GKS Katowice.

Seymaszek started the rout with the opening goal in the fifth minute before Natalia Oleszkiewicz made it 2-0 four minutes later.

Two goals in the 48th and 57th minute ensured that Seymaszek got her hat-trick in the second half.

Emilia Zdunek and Oleszkiewicz's second goal of the night sealed a 6-0 success for the new Polish women's champions.

They finished the season level on points as second placed GKS Katowice on 51 points after 22 games but a better goal difference ensured that they clinched the title.

In the process the league winners qualified for the 2024/2025 UEFA Women's Champions League (UWCL).


Two teams dropped to the second tier of Polish women's football at the end of the season.

They are UJ Krakow and Medyk Konin on a dramatic end of the season.

Stomilanki Olsztn escaped relegation despite a loss on the final day of the season while Medyk Konin's 3-3 draw ensured that they will drop to the second tier league as bottom of the league side.
