PSG Activate £5m Buyback Clause On Xavi Simons But Dutch Star Won’t Stay In Paris If Neymar, Mbappe Stays This Summer

Paris Saint-Germain have triggered the £5m buyback clause on Xavi Simons contract which will see his return from Eredivise club, PSV Eindhoven but Dutch star will reportedly go out on loan if the duo of Neymar, Mbappe remains at the club this summer.

The former Barcelona starlet, Xavi Simons left Paris Saint-Germain to join PSV on a permanent deal last summer but it seems his fruitful spell in Netherlands is set to come to an end after it was announced that the Dutch midfielder will return to the Ligue 1 club for £5m after they activated the buyback option in his contract but Simons’ will reportedly leave on loan if Kylian Mbappe and Neymar remain at the club this summer.

A statement released by PSV on Sunday reads: Xavi Simons immediately leaves the training camp to complete the transfer with Paris Saint Germain.

The twenty-year-old attacker who came to PSV last year and became an important player in Ruud van Nistelrooij’s team may go out on loan immediately, with Bundesliga side RB Leipzig leading the race to land him according to Fabrizio Romano due to the presence of Neymar and Mbappe.

The transfer guru reports further states that a decision on Simon’s future will be made as soon as Tuesday by both parties.
