Inter Milan’s Moroccan wing back, Achraf Hakimi is set to be on the move again just one year after completing a move from Borussia Dortmund to the Italian champions.

The 22-year old arrived in Italy a year ago in a deal believed to be worth around €40 million. Hakimi shined brightly last season in Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 formation and contributed directly to fifteen Serie A goals as the Nerazzurri powered their way to the Italian league title.

Inter’s financial problems however mean that they are forced to sell one of the team’s best performers. Reports from Italy say that the club has to generate up to €100 million in player sales this summer in order to reduce the financial effects that the COVID pandemic has had on the club.

Chelsea and PSG have been the two clubs reportedly interested in the Moroccan but it appears that PSG now lead the race for his signature.

Sky Italia reports that the French club are one step away from signing the former Real Madrid player in what will be a €70 million deal – bonuses included. Sky also reports that an agreement on personal terms has been reached between the club and the player.

Chelsea remain in contact with Hakimi’s agent but an official bid is yet to be submitted.
