With the end of the transfer window set to close in a few days time, it is expected that several players would be joining new clubs in a bid to beat the deadline as clubs now become desperate to meet their targets.

One of such case is Valencia midfielder, Carlos Soler, who has been linked with a move away from the club for quite some time now and at some point, he was heralded as Barcelona’s top target should they get to sell Frenkie De Jong.

Valencia on their part, need to make at least one sacrifice to help balance their books and Soler has been identified as the player with the most value that would bring in plenty of cash in the transfer market.

After weeks of inactivity, it now seems like French side, PSG are ready to take the player off the hands of the Spanish club. Despite signing Napoli midfielder, Fabian Ruiz, the Parisians still want to bring in another midfielder and Soler could be the player.

An offer of about €15 million will be submitted in the next few days and barring any unforeseen circumstances, Soler is expected to leave Valencia.

With a contract set to expire in 2023, selling him makes absolute sense for the Los Che, as the player has refused the club’s offer of a new contract.

The 25-years old is a product of the club’s academy and has made 226 appearances for the club to date and even if he would have preferred a better exit, it has become necessary at this point.

Even if the Los Che won’t be getting the figure that they earlier had in mind to sell him, believed to be around €40 million.

Meanwhile…

Spanish La Liga side, Sevilla are said to be in talks with free agent, Adnan Januzaj, to join the club as a replacement for Luis Ocampos, who has been linked with a move to Dutch side, Ajax.

Januzaj, 27, broke into Manchester United’s first team in 2013 and spent the first four seasons of his career contracted to the Old Trafford club and the final two of which he spent on loan at Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland.

He joined Real Sociedad in 2017, before becoming a free agent recently and there’s optimism from the Andalusian club of reaching an agreement as they look to stop their negative start to the season where they have just one point from three La Liga games.
