Following his departure from Paris Saint-Germain, the illustrious defender is a free agent and has a range of possibilities. El Chiringuito (via Sport) reports that although Saudi Arabia were eager to make him their newest high-profile acquisition, partner Pilar Rubio has no desire to relocate to the Middle East.
His proposals from Italy and elsewhere are intriguing, but Sevilla’s inquiry regarding his availability is the most intriguing of them. Ramos joined Real Madrid as a teenager after leaving Sevilla, and since then, tensions between Ramos and Sevilla supporters have increased.
Ramos’ brother/agent has already discussed the possibility with the current captain, Jesus Navas, according to Jose Manuel Garcia, who also indicates that Ramos would be interested in joining Sevilla.
Monchi has already been appointed as Aston Villa’s sporting director, leaving Sevilla without a Sporting Director, thus it’s unlikely that any deal in Andalusia would be completed immediately.
If the Andalusian giants sign Ramos, it would be a bold move with the caliber of players already in the team.

EPL club Aston Villa have announced the appointment of Ramón Rodriguez Verdejo ‘Monchi’ as the club’s new football director. This comes after Mateu Alemany made last minute decision to rejoin Barça after initially accepting the Aston Villa job.
Monchi was previously the football director at Roma where he spent two years with the Spaniard reached the UCL semi-final before returning to Sevilla to win two of their seven Europa League titles.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Monchi’s contract at Aston Villa will be valid until June 2026 with an option to extend his contract until the summer of 2027.
