But the club is already running into problems with one of their star signings, Varane, who has now been dropped from their Serie A squad list, having played for just 23 minutes since his arrival this summer.
The former Real Madrid and Manchester United centre-back was handed his debut by Fabregas in the Coppa Italia clash against Salernitana on August 11, but the Frenchman lasted just 23 minutes before hobbling off with an injury.
Reports confirm that he suffered an issue with the flexor muscle in his thigh, and according to a recent report, his injury is likely to keep him out long-term. Varane joined Como as a free agent earlier this summer.
