More Details
Before joining the Red Devils in 2021, the former Real Madrid player had already cemented his place as one of the top centre backs in the world, having won four Champions League titles with Los Blancos and the 2018 World Cup with France.
Three years ago, Man United spent €40 million (£34.4 million) to acquire Varane to Old Trafford. Since then, he has made 93 appearances and scored two goals, solidifying his place in the Red Devils’ defence.
“To you guys, supporters of Manchester United. It’s been an amazing few years to play for this special club and wearing that shirt,” the centre-back said in a video on social media.
“The first time I went to Old Trafford as a Man United player, it was insane. The atmosphere was amazing. I fell in love with the club, with the fans. You have to play for Man United to understand what that represents.
“For my kids, it’s home here. It’s going to be a special place for me, for life. When the fans go to Wembley, it’s something they remember for life. To share that moment with them as well was absolutely amazing.”

According to reports, Premier League clubs have approved the introduction of a development plan that will curb spending beginning with the 2025–2026 season.
The spending cap proposals were approved by 16 teams, and their goal is to keep the gap between the Premier League’s lower-half teams and its financial titans from growing.
Nevertheless, a report from BBC Sport claims that three teams vying for European football—Manchester United, Manchester City, and Aston Villa—are thought to have voted against the proposal.
