Martin Braithwaite is the subject of interest from RCD Mallorca for a last-ditch transfer in the upcoming transfer window, according to a report by the Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo.
This summer, Javier Aguirre plans to move the out-of-favour Barcelona attacker to another La Liga team in an effort to reunite with him.
Martin Braithwaite will believe that he hasn’t done anything to merit Barcelona’s treatment over the past few months. Since joining the Blaugrana in an emergency deal outside of the transfer window from Leganes in February 2020, the 31-year-old has been a useful reserve striker.
But under Xavi Hernandez, who does not like the Danish striker, Barcelona has reduced him to a supporting role. In order to ensure that Braithwaite resolves his future after making only four appearances in the 2021/22 season, Barcelona even kept him out of the preseason tour to the United States. But the out-of-favour striker hasn’t formally announced his departure from Camp Nou.
Braithwaite may have played his final game for Barcelona and is still not popular at Camp Nou. RCD Mallorca are attempting to sign him from Barcelona in a last-ditch move this summer, so he still has a chance to put an end to his agony at the Catalan team.

Meanwhile…
Spanish giants Barçelona are looking elsewhere for alternatives to Marcos Alonso, and it seems a choice has been made.
The Chelsea FC fullback has long been a target of Barcelona’s but due to Financial Fair Play issues, the transfer may not actually happen. Enter Javi Galán. The Celta Vigo left-back is said to be someone Xavi admires and the financial aspect might work out for all parties.
His release clause is cited as around 18 million euro, but Barcelona hope to sign him for a fee along the lines of 10-12 million.
