Mallorca’s season has been a mixed bag thus far, but they were dealt a significant blow ahead of their upcoming La Liga match against Real Betis. Star striker Vedat Muriqi has been ruled out for the next 3-4 weeks due to a hamstring injury.

More Details

The news is a major setback for Mallorca, who have already struggled to find consistent scoring form. Muriqi, despite his limited goals this season, has been a vital presence in the team’s attack. His absence will force manager Jagoba Arrasate to reshuffle his forward line.

Abdon Prats and Cyle Larin are likely to be called upon to fill the void left by Muriqi. Both players have shown glimpses of their potential, but they will need to step up significantly to help Mallorca maintain their position in the league.

According to Marca, Muriqi who will be sidelined for 3-4 weeks due to a fibrillar rupture will miss some crucial games which includes the one against Real Valladolid, Espanyol, and potentially Rayo Vallecano.

This is a setback for Muriqi, who has only scored one goal this season as manager Jagoba Arrasate will need to adjust his plans in the absence of his starting striker.
