Real Madrid have angered a section of La Liga club owners including the league’s president in Javier Tebas over their incessant fury against referees. More Details

Much more to Real Madrid’s displeasure is the decision on Real Betis forward Anthony who is available to face them tonight despite picking up a red card in the victory against Getafe after the club’s appeal was accepted by La Liga as they were not granted a hearing during Jude Bellingham’s case in the game against Osasuna.

Anthony’s red card was overturned by the Spanish Football Federation after a close look at the late tackle on Juan Iglesias with replays showing there was minimal contact as opposed to Jude Bellingham’s F***k off swear to referee Jose Luis Munuera.

Los Blancos views the reversal as a deeply unjust outcome, fueling a sense of complete outrage. This sentiment is not isolated to Real Madrid. Diario AS indicates that the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA) also expressed significant surprise at the ruling, suggesting a divergence from established protocols.

Furthermore, Real Betis, the opposing team, are understood to have held minimal expectations of a successful appeal, underscoring the unexpected nature of the Federation’s verdict.

Beyond this is the brewing sanction if found guilty of an ongoing investigation regarding the outburst against Espanyol.

La Liga has initiated formal disciplinary proceedings against Real Madrid, stemming from the club’s recent actions, which the league deemed unacceptable. This confirmation follows La Liga’s earlier filing of a complaint regarding the matter. Earlier this week, it was clarified that the club, under the presidency of Florentino Perez, would face potential disciplinary action.

As reported by MD, the Disciplinary Committee has now formally opened the case, and an investigator will be appointed to conduct a thorough inquiry. The investigation aims to determine whether Real Madrid’s conduct warrants punitive measures.

Notably, La Liga has explicitly requested that any sanctions be directed at the club itself, rather than individual members of its board of directors. While no definitive timeline has been established for the investigation, it is anticipated that the appointed investigator will require approximately one month to complete their findings.
