His excellent performance has drawn the attention of top European clubs who are ready to snap up the 18-year-old midfielder, dubbed as the next Kai Havertz, a player that also emerged from the Leverkusen academy to the main team before making a move to Chelsea.

German Champions, Bayern Munich are also said to be interested in the player and they have an advantage over the other two clubs if the player wants to stay in Germany to continue with his development.

Two Real Madrid stars, Federico Valverde and Rodrygo Goes face a race against time to return to action after the international break.

Valverde has missed the last four games with a sprain, while Rodrygo has been out for two games through a hamstring issues.

While there is enough players to cover for the Uruguayan in the midfield if he doesn’t recover in time for the match against Granada, Ancelotti would be hoping that the Brazilian recovers in time as he now sees him as a first choice starter in the lineup.

Though the coach might have to to rely on Asensio and Hazard during the clash against Granada if Rodrygo does not make it back in time.
