Real Madrid To Renew Their Pursuit Of Spanish Defender

Real Madrid are set to renew their interest in Villarreal defender Pau Torres after ending their previous pursuit.
The Los Blancos sold Raphael Varane to Manchester United and also let Sergio Ramos leave on a free transfer and the club were set to go into the new season with David Alaba, Eder Militao, and Jesus Vallejo initially but Ancelotti is now reportedly asking the Club for reinforcement in the centre-back position.
Pau Torres was with the La Roja at the Euros and proceeded to represent Spain at the ongoing Olympic Games where Spain are on course for a medal after getting into the semi-final of the tournament.

Following his fine display, other clubs are bound to take note and show interest which will force the Los Blancos to up their initial bid of around €50m which was rejected with the Yellow submarines insisting on a fee of und €65m to part with their prized defender.
Villarreal are under no pressure to sell the 24-year-old in the coming weeks but they could reach a compromise deal of €60m if Los Blancos solidify their interest.
