He has been impressive for his club, Monaco, who spent 18 million euros to sign him from Girondins de Bordeaux in the summer of 2019, and Transfermarkt value him at 35 million euros now.

Tchouameni’s contract at Monaco runs until June 2024 and has played 20 times, making 15 appearances across Ligue 1 and in European competition. The other five have been with the French national team. He made his debut at the age of 17 in Ligue 1 when he was with Bordeaux and was a key member of the team as he is now with Monaco.

Real Madrid so far have made Kylian Mbappe their number one target and are ready to dedicate all their resources towards his purchase but that didn’t stop them from signing Eduardo Camavinga and they are set to move for Tchouameni, this time as a replacement for Casemiro.

Casemiro is the only recognized defensive midfield available for the Los Blancos and with his not so impressive performances lately, the club would be wise to start shopping for an ideal replacement already. Real Madrid aren’t the only club interested in his services though. Both Chelsea and Juventus are also keeping a close eye on him.

Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtios has slammed UEFA over the UEFA Nations League and its scheduling. The competition has received a mixed response from both fans and players since its inception back in 2018.

“This game is just a money game, we have to be honest about it,” he said. “We just play it because for UEFA it is extra money and it is an extra game on TV. “OK, for us it’s a good game because it’s against Italy and for Italy it’s a good game because it’s against Belgium, but look how much both teams changed their players.

“If we had both been in the final there would have been others playing.” He told SkySports.
