The 36th La Liga title for Real Madrid in their history has been achieved. With four games left in the championship, Los Blancos defeated Cádiz to clinch the championship. Madrid began La Liga with five straight wins. They gained the lead on the second matchday and maintained it until the fifth. They switched places a few times in the top spot, but starting on matchday 18, they solidified their lead.
