After winning four out of its last five Pre-Season friendlies against Madrid CFF (2-1), Real Madrid (2-0), Deportivo La Coruna (4-0), and Eibar (2-1), Real Sociedad will start its league campaign on September 5 against Valencia.
The Club finished in the fifth position for the 2020/2021 season with 61 points from 34 games, behind Champions, FC Barcelona, and the likes of Real Madrid, Levante UD, and Atletico Madrid.
Losing one of its last five Pre-Season games (4-3) to Deportivo Alaves might strengthen the team to surpass last season’s feat when the league kicks off next weekend.
