Reason For Kylian Mbappe's France NT Team Snub Revealed

France national team coach Didier Deschamps confirmed that he consulted with his captain before announcing the squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Israel and Belgium.

As called by Relevo, this decision led to the captain’s omission from the lineup as a precaution to prevent any setbacks following his recent return from injury, which had initially sidelined him for three weeks.

Consequently, Real Madrid has benefited from the cooperation of the French Football Federation and Deschamps, as the 25-year-old will not be participating in Les Bleus’ upcoming fixtures. However, this decision has raised some eyebrows and sparked unanswered questions.

“I spoke with Kylian and, due to his situation, which is still uncertain after his participation in Lille, he will not come. He has a game on Saturday and there are doubts. He does not have a serious problem, but he needs treatment to recover well. We’re not here to take risks. That’s why Kylian has not been included in the squad.”

Now following the game against Villareal on, Deschamps is rumored to be surprised and displeased as their initial discussion was that he is nurturing a hamstring injury hence why he was omitted so that he can get some rest, he fells betrayed after the forward started the game while also accumulating much minutes in the game.

Although there’s a possibility that should Mbappe make it through Saturday’s fixture against Villarreal without any complications which he did, it’s likely that he’ll be back at 100% after the international break.

Patrice Evra speaking on the situation during his discussion on the Jeremy Rothen’s s’enflamme podcast revealed;

“Real Madrid aren’t PSG. You can’t afford to take that kind of risk. But honestly, you’re the ones who’ve built up this legend around Mbappe. With all due respect to him, he’s not on Benzema’s level. He doesn’t even reach Benzema’s ankle right now”.

Arsenal’s William Saliba, his club teammate in Aurelien Tchouameni has been touted as his possible replacements to wear the captain’s armband if he doesn’t make it to the squad ahead of the game against Israel and Belgium.
