Wales head coach Rhian Wilkinson says her side is determined to end their worrying run of defeats as they begin a two-match friendly window against South Korea and Switzerland in Spain.

More Details

Wales face South Korea on Friday, 28 November, at Ciudad Deportiva Fundacion in Malaga (18:00 GMT), with fans able to watch live on BBC iPlayer or listen via BBC Radio Wales Extra and Cymru Fyw.

Wilkinson, 43, guided Wales to their first-ever major tournament this year, but the team endured a tough Euro 2025 campaign marked by heavy losses to the Netherlands, France and England.

Wales now head into the friendlies on a seven-match losing streak — their longest drought since the early years of the national team between 1993 and 1996.

“We’re not happy with it. We’re aware, it’s frustrating and it feels like a burden we don’t want to carry,” Wilkinson admitted.

“We want to break that streak, of course we do. But equally, this year has included the Euros, Nations League A and top opposition, and it’s because this team is really on a journey. It’s never a straight journey — it’s always about pushing standards — and we have had little setbacks.”

Despite the defeats, Wilkinson believes Wales are growing from the challenges of elite competition and remain committed to raising their performance level heading into 2026.

Wales will conclude their November camp with a second friendly against Switzerland after facing South Korea.
