Rodrygo will be available when Los Blancos go to Espanyol on Sunday after overcoming the muscle fatigue that prevented him from participating in the team’s opening two LaLiga matches against Almeria and Celta de Vigo.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti is set to use the 4-3-3 formation for the first time this year because Kroos should have time to get over his symptoms.
During his previous press conference, the Italian coach made a similar implication, stating that the 4-3-3 system will return once Rodrygo was available.
Real Madrid have relied too heavily on both Vinicius and Benzema during the first two games, but Rodrygo’s return should boost the team’s offensive output.
This season, Rodrygo is anticipated to take a step forward, therefore he will need the time and playing time to develop some confidence in that capacity.

Meanwhile…
Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz would be willing to leave the Spanish club and join another La Liga club this summer, according to multiple reports from Diario AS.
According to the same report, if Mariano were to receive an offer this year, things would be different from the past years when he had attention from other clubs but decided to remain in the Spanish capital.
Real Madrid and coach Carlo Ancelotti have made it obvious that Mariano is a player they can do without.
