Ronja Aronsson Part Ways With Linkopings FC

Swedish defender, Ronja Othilia Gunilla Aronsson has parted ways with Swedish Damallsvenskan side, Linkopings FC after the expiration of her contract at the end of the 2021 league season.

“It has been two fantastic years and I want to thank Lejonflocken, the supporters, sponsors, and the club for that. But big thanks to the players and Loben who I will miss so much! THANK YOU !!!,” says Ronja Aronsson on the Linkopings FC website after her contract was not renewed.
Linkopings FC and Ronja Aronsson have agreed not to extend the agreement until next year. Ronja Came to Linkopings FC for the 2020 season.
She leaves Linkopings FC after playing 39 competitive matches in the club jersey
“Ronja Aronsson is a skilled technical player who, despite her young age, belongs to the crowd of experienced OBOS Damallsvenskan players, when she played her first match in the series for Piteå IF FF as a 13-year-old. Ronja is and has been a fantastically nice teammate and will be missed in the locker room,” says Club Director Frida Andersson.

After winning the Swedish Damallsvenskan in 2017, Linkopings FC has failed to make it to the top two positions for four straight seasons.
The 2021 season ended last Saturday with Linkopings FC ending the season in the sixth position which was not enough to qualify for the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
The club won the league title in 2017 ahead of Rosengard and finished in the fifth position in 2018 followed by fifth and fourth positions in the 2019 and 2020 seasons respectively.
