In the last few days, reports have emerged that Juventus are keen on bringing the Ivorian back to the Italian Serie A.
These lingering media rumours have caused displeasure in the fanbase of the club who have now turned on the player.
They have launched a hashtag asking the player to leave the club after what they perceived to be lack of commitment following his silence on the transfer rumours.
It is a practice that has been condemned by the club’s sporting director who has now called for patience amongst the fans.
Rui Pedro urged the fans to “simmer down” on their reaction and instead rally behind the 29 year old star.
“Franck Kessie is an outstanding player and currently one of the best midfielders in the world. He’s now become a target for top European clubs due to his outstanding qualities, and at 29 years old, he delivered an impressive performance against NEOM SC.” He said as revealed by Ahli Central.
He likened the situation to one carried out on top striker Ivan Toney while the Englishman struggled in front of goal.
“In the past, I saw a hashtag from fans calling for Toney to leave, and now look at how he is performing.

“Last week, I also saw a hashtag calling for Kessie to leave. Fans need to trust the process and the work we are doing with the players”
“There was a time when Al Ahli fans didn’t accept Ivan Toney as a striker, but today he’s one of the team’s best players — the same thing is now happening with Franck Kessie, and we must support our players and help them give their best”
Franck Kessie started his third consecutive game for Al Ahli since his return from the AFCON and was on hand to provide the assist for his side’s third in a 3-0 win over NEOM SC.
