Brighton took the lead against the run of play in the 32nd minute when Welbeck headed a low cross from Kaoru Mitoma into the net. Marcus Rashford then had a goal disallowed on the other end immediately after.y
Amad’s low effort was deflected into the Brighton net by Jan Paul van Hecke in the 60th minute to tie the score for Man United. Although there was a close call for an offside, the goal was nevertheless awarded.
In the 70th minute, Alejandro Garnacho appeared to have given the Red Devils a second goal, but Joshua Zirkzee turned his goal-bound effort over the line, resulting in it being disallowed for a very tight offside.
