The Belgian striker needed just 82 seconds to get on the mark in his first game back in Inter colours as he headed home the opener against Lecce.
He has however failed to score in his last two games and unfortunately now have to sit out the next two at least due to a hamstring injury.
Speaking to Sport Mediaset, Sandro Sabatini said Lukaku is no longer the player he was two years ago before he left for Chelsea and reckons Edin Dzeko makes the team play better and is perfect for the derby.
“With the replacements we always talk later, in Lecce they were moved by despair but right. Lukaku? It’s no longer what it was two years ago, at least what we saw in the first three days. And I bet Inter play better with Dzeko, even in the derby”
Inter now risk not having Lukaku fit for the next three games including the derby and the Champions League opener against Bayern Munich.
Meanwhile…
Romelu Lukaku has told the club he wants to be back in time for the derby against neighbours AC Milan.
The Inter striker was diagnosed with a hamstring problem after the game against Lazio and has been said to be risking a while on the sidelines.

However, the 29 year old is anticipating a return ahead of the derby which in all cases look more and more unlikely.
Sports Mediaset reports tests will be carried out later on Monday to know the extent of the damage and when possibly his return date would be.
