Sara Dabritz Joins European Champions

Olympique Lyonnais (Lyon) has announced the signing of German international midfielder Sara Däbritz for three seasons, until June 30, 2025.

The native of Amberg, aged 27, played four years at Bayern Munich (2015/2019) where she was notably crowned German champion in her first season ( 2016).
Arrived from Paris Saint Germain (2019/2022), Sara Däbritz knows the D1 Arkema perfectly since, since 2019, she has had 45 matches to her credit in the league and 15 goals. The German international was also crowned French Champion in 2021 and won the Coupe de France a few days ago, before being named in the 2021/2022 type team at the UNFP trophies.

European champion with Germany in 2013 and winner of the Rio Olympics in 2016, Sara Däbritz will thus strengthen Sonia Bompastor’s team and bring her high-level experience for the years to come. Following a successful end to the season for the Lyon women’s team, with the titles of European Champion and French Champion 2022, this first recruit of the off-season confirms the club’s high ambitions.
