In other transfer news, Inter Milan is reportedly interested in signing Liverpool center-back Ibrahima Konate next year. An Italian report suggests Liverpool might consider selling Konate for around $18 million in January to fund the acquisition of Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace, a player already targeted by the Reds.
Both players’ contracts are set to expire at the end of the current season. Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has already confirmed that defender Guehi will leave Selhurst Park either during the winter or summer transfer window.
Following Salah’s strong showing against Brighton, rumors of his long-term exit (beyond just the AFCON tournament) are likely to decrease temporarily.

“Can also reveal if Saudi clubs are to make an approach, no new funding for January will be provided by the Player Acquisition Centre of Excellence (PACE),” Ben Jacobs wrote on X/Twitter regarding Salah ahead of the game.
“The seasonal budget is already allocated, and Saudi clubs, for Salah or any other star in January, must find a means to fund a transfer without relying on new central funding.”
Mohamed Salah should remain with Liverpool for the rest of the season. Although his performance hasn’t been consistently excellent this year, the recent match against Brighton demonstrated his high potential and value to the team.
