The former Inter player has a year and a half left on his contract at the Diego Maradona Stadium.

Al Tarifi is a member of the AFC Referees Committee and a lecturer in the international federation.

He is now set to begin a new role as the director of video technology (VAR) in the Mai Referees Committee.

Al-Tarifi has a lot of experience in the world of arbitration, which he entered in 1988 before obtaining the international badge in 1998, and also participated in the 2002 World Cup and many tournaments before announcing his retirement in 2005.
