One of the team’s shining spots this season, the 36-year-old goalie, is undergoing concussion protocol following an injury sustained during practice last week.

“He should be fine by early next week,” said Toronto coach Robin Fraser.
Adisa De Rosario, 20, the son of Canada Soccer Hall of Famer Dwayne De Rosario, will start as a backup for backup Luka Gavran.
Tyrese Spicer, a Trinidad and Tobago international who was traded to Orlando City last week for up to US$550,000 in general allocation funds, left Toronto, according to some information released by general manager Jason Hernandez on Friday.
“The player only wanted to continue with the club if certain contractual commitments and conditions were secured this summer,” according to Toronto at the time, when Spicer’s camp informed the team that the terms were unacceptable.

The 24-year-old Spicer, who was selected first overall in the 20-24 MLS SuperDraft, was earning a meagre US$83,122 this season, which was the last of his contract. It seems that he was hoping for much more from TFC.
Despite having club options on him for 2026 and 2027, Toronto was unwilling to offer it to him and consented to a transfer.
“The reality is when you get a phone call on the player’s behalf that the player needs four times or five times his deal by the end of the summer or he would like to be moved, it’s not even a very difficult conversation at that point in time,” said Hernandez.
