The former Dutch international once worked with the goalkeeper while in charge of the Indomitable Lions and he described him as great and intelligent goalkeeper albeit one who exposes himself.
Seedorf also added that the 25 year old will be back playing for the national team in the future.
“Onana is a great goalkeeper, an intelligent, curious man, who cares, exposes himself. I think he will be back to play with the national team.”
It would be recalled that Onana fell out with the manager of the national team over his preferred style of football with a reported disapproval of federation president Samuel Eto’o’s involvement in dressing room affairs.
Onana has since returned to Milan and is on course to be in action against Napoli when the league restarts on January 4.

The 46 year old Seedorf who scored over a hundred career goals also spoke about Lautaro Martinez’s form and Romelu Lukaku’s failed move to Chelsea.
“Lautaro is a great player but we do not compare the role he has in Argentina and Inter. In the Nerazzurri he has almost the weight of Messi in the national team. He will grow again and at the 2026 World Cup he will do very well.

Lukaku returned to the San Siro after just a season with Chelsea following his big money move from the Italian club.
Seedorf concluded the Belgian top scorer made a mistake by leaving the Nerazzurri for the London club but expects him to rediscover his form.
“I think Lukaku was wrong to leave. If you’re okay, why go to Chelsea? Money is the most obvious answer but it doesn’t always have to have priority: this is also one of the reasons why there are fewer top players today. I, however, wish him to find the magic again.”
Lukaku has struggled with form and fitness since his return to Inter but could use the game against Napoli to kickstart his return to prominence.
