Milan Skriniar was the topic of the game as he got sent off after two bookable offenses.
He got his marching orders fifteen minutes of his first caution with none of the challenges being a justifiable one.
However, Inzaghi has said he expects no apology from the outgoing defender who had one of his worst games in Inter colours.
Speaking to DAZN after the game, the former Lazio gaffer said the defender owes him no apology.
“Do I expect an apology from Skriniar? Absolutely not.”
He however added that he’d have a review of the situations that led to the sending off.
“He made two fouls that I have to review, I was a bit puzzled by the sending off. He is an exemplary professional. There is this situation that does not help, but I have a club behind me that is trying to resolve this and other situations.”
Skriniar saw red after just 40 minutes which gave Empoli the numerical advantage over their hosts in a game that was settled by a Tommaso Baldanzi goal.
Meanwhile…
Inzaghi went on to rue the loss which is the club’s sixth if the campaign with just the first round of matches played.
“It was not our best night, we found a worthy opponent. We wanted to stay in the game after the send off, we created something but couldn’t score. It’s a defeat that slows down our run. We conceded a goal at a time when we were back in the game, then we lost order and distance.

“A defeat that stings and hurts in front of our fans. We end the first half with 37 points and many regrets, we want to do better in the second half.”
Asked why there’s been so many losses after just nineteen games, the coach had this to say…
“Six defeats is a lot, the others there with us also had more or less the same path. This evening slows down our path, which must start again already from Saturday.”
Inter are third on the log with 37 points, one adrift one Milan in second and level with Roma in fourth.
