Sir Jim Ratcliffe Identifies 60-Year-Old Frenchman As Ideal Replacement For Richard Arnold – Report
Written by Albert Echatah
After completing an investment in a minority position in Manchester United, Sir Jim Ratcliffe will try to choose Jean-Claude Blanc as the club’s new CEO.
More Details
Once a £1.4 billion investment is approved by the club, which might happen this week, the British millionaire will assume command of football operations.
The club’s current CEO, Richard Arnold, is expected to leave his position by year’s end following an assessment conducted by Ratcliffe and his INEOS team. After years of scandal and excessive expenditure off the field, they wish to name a new CEO to manage the club’s operations.
Over the past ten years, Blanc has worked for both Juventus and Paris Saint-German. He has experience in a range of sports, including cycling and running.
Blanc supervised a run of Juventus victories in Serie A and had a key role in the funding of the team’s new stadium. Blanc has most recently taken on the role of CEO of INEOS, where he is in charge of the company’s initiatives in football, cycling, running, and sailing.

Meanwhile…
Erik ten Hag is anxious to prevent Jadon Sancho from making a “empty gesture,” therefore Manchester United is apparently willing to accept a “significant loss” on him.
Sancho has a disruptive impact on the rest of United’s team, according to manager Ten Hag, who is determined to get rid of the winger.
This season, Sancho and Ten Hag had a nasty falling out, with the Dutchman publicly criticizing his player in the media for his lack of effort in practice. After spending £73 million on him in 2021, United is now willing to suffer a “significant loss” on the player in the January transfer window.
