UEFA confirmed the full qualifying lineup following the official league-stage draw, marking the beginning of Europe’s road to the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Spain headline Group A3, where they will face a familiar foe in England — the reigning 2025 European champions.
Elsewhere, Group A1 features a heavyweight matchup between Sweden and Italy, while Group A2 pits France, the Netherlands, Poland, and the Republic of Ireland in one of the most competitive pools.
A total of 11 European teams will qualify directly for the 2027 World Cup through the qualifiers starting in March 2026, while an additional team will compete for a spot through the inter-confederation playoff.
The new format divides teams into three leagues based on their 2025 Nations League standings:

League A and League B each contain 16 teams, League C features 21 teams.
The four League A group winners will automatically qualify for the World Cup.
The remaining seven direct spots, along with one playoff berth, will be determined through a series of promotion and playoff rounds among the top finishers across all three leagues.
