Spanish Super Cup Draw To Take Place On Friday As Claudia Pina Recovers From COVID-19

The draw for the Spanish Supercup will take place on Friday, January 7, 2022.

The Spanish Super Cup will feature four Spanish Primera Iberdrola sides.

FC Barcelona Femeni, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, and Levante will go into the draw.

The four clubs were the top four teams at the end of the 2020/2021 league season with FC Barcelona Femeni clinching the title with 99 points ahead of Real Madrid (74 points).

Levante UD (70 points) and Atletico Madrid (63 points) complete the top four teams as the top three qualified for the 2021/2022 UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Atletico Madrid missed out on qualification for the Women’s Champions League.

FC Barcelona Femeni forward, Claudia Pina has recovered from COVID-19 and is back to training.

The 20-year-old Spanish midfielder last played for the Catalan side during its 4-0 win over Rayo Vallecano last year and missed FC Barcelona’s last game of the year against Madrid CFF which ended 7-0 in favour of the European Champions.

The former Sevilla midfielder has scored five goals in ten league games for Barcelona this season.

With Sevilla FC, Claudia Pina scored nine goals in 34 league games in the 2020/2021 league season.

Nigerian forward, Asisat Oshoala bis also back in training for FC Barcelona and took part in the team’s recent training sessions as she continue to recover from her injury recuperation.
