The ongoing AFCON tournament in Morocco has seen the best of Saudi Pro League players on parade.
With the line up for the final now set, the SPL will be one of the majorly represented leagues when the final kicks off on Sunday.
Senegal face off against hosts Morocco at Prince Moulay Abdullah Stadium in Rabat with both teams parading goalkeepers from the Saudi Pro League.
This development is a clear testament to the longterm vision of the league to becoming one of the very best in the world.
Edouard Mendy helped Senegal to reach the final with his spirited display between the sticks as he kept a clean sheet in the 1-0 win over Egypt.
The Al Ahli captain has been rock solid in goal for Pape Thiaw’s side since the beginning of the tournament in Morocco.
In the same vein, Yassine Bounou was the protagonist as his nation saw off Nigeria on penalties after a goalless 120 minutes.
The Al Hilal shot-stopper saved two spot kicks to book his side a place in the final against Senegal.

Both goalkeepers have nine clean sheets between them in the tournament, Yassine Bounou with five and Edouard Mendy keeping his opponents out four times.
Both players will be up for the Golden Gloves award come the end of the tournament on Sunday.
Also, in Senegal’s line up is Sadio Mane of Al Nassr and Kalidou Koulibaly of Al Hilal, who will eventually miss the final due to accumulated cards.
