Being in the running twice and having a similarly bad season is something Manchester United really cannot afford. Sporting success is essential for a team as famous as the Old Trafford team, and Ruben Amorim will undoubtedly be searching for possible summer additions who can assist him in completing the project he is attempting to construct at Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim plays a very specialised system, and the 3-4-3 shape calls for specific profiles that work well there. Signing players from Sporting CP, the Portuguese coach’s previous team, might be a plan that sparks his project in England because they will be accustomed to the tactical setting.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has now disclosed on YouTube that Manchester United is interested in recruiting Portuguese youth Geovany Quenda, who is reportedly eager to transfer to Manchester.

He stated that although the two teams are still at odds over valuation, the Red Devils aim to come to an early deal and try to sign him. What he said was as follows:
“Yeah, I think the player (Quenda) is certainly keen on a move to Manchester United, and talks are progressing to see whether something can be pre-agreed ahead of the summer. Manchester United’s valuation is below that of Sporting’s. They feel that the player is worth in the region of 40 million euros, whereas Sporting’s perspective is the number that he should be sold for is closer to the 60 million mark (£50million).”
Despite being quite young, Quenda made a big impression when playing for Sporting CP under Ruben Amorim. The young player could play both winger and wing-back in this 3-4-3 formation, thus the Man Utd manager deployed him in a variety of positions.
