The Liverpool legend was appointed coach of the Dammam based club at the start of the just concluded season.

However, the season did not go as envisaged with the club finishing in 6th place, a distant 11 points adrift the last continental spot.

Going forward, Gerrard fully retains his trust in the club’s project and is looking forward to a better season next term.

“The project I am working on in Al-Ettifaq is to continue progressing, improving results, competing in all fields, and finishing the season in the top four.” Gerrard told @EFC_net.

The club made notable signings such as Georginio Wijnaldum, Moussa Dembele and Demarai Gray, they could however not help the club finish as high as they wanted.

Al Ettifaq have rejected the advances of a Turkish club towards their winger Demarai Gray.

According to @KartalRecord, Besiktas submitted a bid of €8m to the Saudi club, an offer that was immediately rebuffed

Gray arrived Al Ettifaq last summer and was one of their key performers this past season.

The 27 year old scored four goals and provided three assists in twenty three league games.
