The Super Eagles struck first just before the interval when Victor Osimhen headed home in the 44th minute, rewarding Nigeria’s early dominance and setting the tempo for the contest.

Nigeria came out firing after the restart and doubled their advantage in the 50th minute through Wilfred Ndidi, who unleashed a header from a corner kick.

The pressure told again in the 67th minute as Ademola Lookman finished calmly to make it 3–0, seemingly putting the match beyond Tunisia’s reach.

However, Tunisia responded with renewed urgency. Montassar Talbi pulled one back in the 74th minute, sparking belief in the North African side.
