The Swedish Government from July 2021, will allow up to 6,000 fans into stadiums to watch football games.

Before the announcement, only 500 fans were allowed into stadiums as a result of Coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions.

After a new easing of the restrictions, up to 3,000 people per section will be able to watch live football from 1 July.

When the next round of Swedish OBOS Damallsvenskan (Women’s league) starts, as many as 3,000 people can be admitted to the stands.

Swedish Minister of Social Affairs, Lena Hallengren says that the spread of COVID-19 infection has decreased steadily since the beginning of May, and therefore the restrictions for, among other things, outdoor events are eased.

The Minister also noted that not all clubs in OBOS Damallsvenskan will be able to take in so many spectators as permitted clubs will make announcements on their website and social media for information and any ticket releases.

For men Allsvenskan, Malmo FF occupies the top of the table with 20 points from nine games, three points ahead of Djurgardens which have an outstanding game.
