Takefusa Kubo Wins Big In LALIGA EA September Award, Javi Guerra, Joao Cancelo Joins Real Madrid Duo In Receiving Accolades

Takefusa Kubo has been named the LALIGA EA SPORTS player of the month for September, an award handed out by LALIGA in partnership with EA following the Japanese pivotal role in the Basque club’s haul of 12 points from a total of 15 available with four direct goal involvements and producing a host of quality pieces of play.

Kubo claims his first ever LALIGA EA SPORTS Player of the Month trophy. The Japanese international was a cut above the rest of this month’s candidates: Robert Lewandowski, Jude Bellingham, Iñaki Williams and Savinho.

He started the month on a high, netting a brace against Granada CF in Real Sociedad’s first victory of the season. His second stopover in September was at the Santiago Bernabeu where, despite not scoring, he put on a brilliant display capped by the pass leading to Ander Barrenetxea’s goal.

On the following matchday, he was in the thick of it once again, finding the back of the net in the home win over Getafe. Finally, after being rested for the mid-week outing to Valencia, he signed off on a superb month by shining in the Basque Derby, where he celebrated making it 2-0 in front of the home fans.

The young midfielder has undoubtedly been one of Valencia CF’s star players during the start to the season and this month he scored two goals and provided one assist.

João Cancelo has won the LALIGA EA SPORTS goal of the month award for September presented by LALIGA in partnership with GolBall. The FC Barcelona defender receives the accolade for the superb goal which he netted during his debut at the Barcelona’s Estadio Olimpico against Real Betis.

Michel has been named the LALIGA EA SPORTS Manager of the Month for September. The mentality and tactics of the Madrilenian are being well received in the Girona FC dressing room in yet another season, and this was reflected in the results achieved by the team this month. They took 12 out of the 15 points on offer and moved up to third place.
