The LA Times reported on Thursday that Alyssa Thompson, who earned her first United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) cap in October, is Angel City’s target with the No. 1 pick in the draft.
Thompson has not yet declared for the draft, which may place a contingency on Angel City’s trade with Gotham, per The Equalizer.
The deadline to register is 11:59 pm ET on January 9.

The 18-year-old featured for the U-20 USWNT at the 2022 World Cup currently trains with an MLS Next club and has the second-fastest 100m sprint time in the state of California.
