Al Alhi are leaving no stones unturned in their bid to keep the club’s best players and avoid losing n them to suitors.



After successfully tying Merih Demiral to a new deal a few weeks ago, works are ongoing to extend the gesture to two other senior members of the side.

Franck Kessie and Roger Ibanez are other players who need to be extended or seen walk out on the club at the end of the season.

However, @Wafeetzidis reports that the reigning Asian champions are talking to the players’ representatives in order to convince them on a new contract.

The aim is to keep the technical stability of the team intact while they work in the market to bring in reinforcements that’ll complement the squad.

While Kessie has recently been liked to a move away from the Jeddah based club, his participation in the AFCON will most likely put any discussion on his future on hold until the end of the tournament.

Roger Ibanez has been a wonderful addition for the Matthias Jaissle led side and it is in this fate that the club want to continue with the Brazilian.

Al Ahli are the reigning Asian champions and the Saudi Super Cup holders but their season has been far from what was envisaged at the beginning of the campaign.
