The Biggest Omissions From Chelsea’s UEFA Europa Conference League Squad List

Written By Albert Echatah

In a shocking turn of events, England midfielder Cole Palmer has been excluded from Chelsea’s latest roster for the group stage of the Europa Conference League.

More Details

Among the famous people missing from the list that was revealed on Thursday are France’s Wesley Fofana and Belgium’s Romeo Lavia.

Chelsea took this decision to control how many games players could play during a season that started last month and might extend until July 2025, with the FIFA Club World Cup taking place at the end of the competition.

Palmer was Chelsea’s star player the previous campaign, but Lavia and Fofana were both sidelined due to long-term injuries.

On October 3, Chelsea plays its first match against Gent of Belgium. Thereafter, the team will play Panathinaikos of Greece, Noah of Armenia, Heidenheim of Germany, Astana of Kazakhstan, and Shamrock Rovers of Ireland.

Jadon Sancho and youngsters Tyrique George and Kiano Dyer have surprisingly been included in Enzo Maresca’s final 27-man roster.
