Simone Inzaghi will most likely not be sacked even if Inter lose to Barcelona on Tuesday in the Champions League as per Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin.

The Italian manager has seen his job come under threat after gaining just twelve points from a possible twenty four this season.

The Inter management have been alerted to a possible change in managerial position after the latest defeat to AS Roma but the Nerazzurri are closely monitoring the situation.

Biasin via Calcio Mercato reported that the Sassuolo game on the weekend will have more bearing on the future of Inzaghi rather than the Champions League game where the team retains a slight chance against Barcelona.

Inter are yet to publicly speak about the future of their coach but reports have it that a decision could be taken should results not improve.

Simone Inzaghi is expected by the club to make a decision between Samir Handanovic and Andre Onana who the undisputed starting goalkeeper would be.

The coach has alternated the two stoppers between domestic and European games but Gazzetta reports that the club demands a permanent starter and not the game by game choice that been adopted by the coach so far.

Onana has kept goal in both of the European games this season and is expected for start again tomorrow against Barcelona.

A decision is however expected to be reached soon as to who the preferred choice would be.
