Through another NWSL match weekend, the Golden Boot race has not slowed down.

A number of players at the top of the scoring leaderboard tallied goals this week to keep the race tight.
Alex Morgan still sits at the top after recording her 12th goal of the season on Saturday.
The goal was the 50th of her NWSL career, placing her fifth all-time in scoring behind Sam Kerr, Christine Sinclair, Lynn Williams, and Jessica McDonald.
Keeping the pace behind her was Rookie of the Year frontrunner Diana Ordoñez, who scored another brace in North Carolina’s 4-0 win over Chicago.

Ordoñez now has 10 goals on the season, annihilating the rookie record of seven and tying last year’s Golden Boot total set by Ashley Hatch.
While Sophia Smith did not play an NWSL game this weekend, and Mal Pugh is falling off the pace, a new player to watch atop the leaderboard is Houston’s Ebony Salmon.

Ever since joining the Dash in a trade, Salmon has been on a tear, scoring her eighth goal of the season this weekend.
